Unlike the rockchip based sticks this one actually switches resolutions properly.
I haven't had any wifi signal drops, or lowered speed while using this stick.
Video playback is great and in sync. I've actually used BS Player and Dice Player to play 2 1080p mkv's at the same time with no apparent frame drops or issues.
Netflix works like a charm.

The internal NAND is actually a micro sd card that can be removed if you open the unit up. I've made several backups of my micro sd using dd in ubuntu. I've also replaced my micro sd with a larger and faster 16GB UHS-I and it was much more responsive. I used Gparted to increase the size of my partitions.

The i.mx6q actually supports linux. Freescale has builds that can run x11 w/ hardware acceleration. They also support hardware acceleration with Gstreamer for videos. It's just a matter of getting the u-boot on the internal micro-sd setup, and building a kernel that supports the built in wifi.
I've actually been working on getting ubuntu running properly on my GK802. I have it booting, but I need my usb to 3.3v serial adapter to arrive so I can check/set/make a properly working uboot.(mostly so I can change the kernel location and run a custom kernel with working wifi)
Kernel/Android/Linux sources are available from Freescale. They are gearing up for the i.mx6q to be a long term SOC so we will be seeing future software updates.

MintPenguins run on Apache,Mysql,PHP and  Xubuntu 12.04 on GK802 with sdcard Toshiba Exceria 16Gb class 10 and Swap file 2Gb.
